OPEN ACCESS: Students may come to the Library independently or in small groups to check out Library books or use the library to find information they need. Teachers may schedule and bring their class to use the library for research or group activity with Librarian's assistance.

1st Grade: Read The Great Dewey Hunt by Toni Buzzeo. Discuss the different sections of the Non-fiction area.
2nd Grade: Read Wolf! by Becky Bloom. Choosing a Just-Right Book. Five finger Rule.
3rd Grade: Read the Texas Bluebonnet Nominee The Right Word: Roget and His Thesaurus by Jen Bryant.
4th Grade: Read the Texas Bluebonnet Nominee The Great American Dust Bowl by Don Brown
5th Grade: Read the Texas Bluebonnet Nominee Emily’s Blue Period by Cathleen Daly.
6th Grade: Introduce the last ½ of the Texas Bluebonnet Books using the TBA Book trailers at The TXLA website.
